Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions in Shawnee, OK is seeking an Assembly Technician for the 1st shift. You will assemble mechanical components, follow blueprints and work instructions, and use hand and power tools on a bench or line.

This safety-sensitive, full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, attention to detail, teamwork, and good communication. Schedule is Monday–Thursday, 6:00 am–4:00 pm, with benefits including PTO, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.

The Impact You’ll Make

Assembles parts according to company specifications, quality standards, and production schedules to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench, conveyor line, or at an assigned location. Uses hand tools, small power tools, and other special equipment.Refersto technical drawings and written directions. Reassembles orreworksunits asrequired. This role ensures that all assemblies meet safety, quality, and productivity requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
This is a 1st Shift position, with scheduled hours Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assemble mechanical components according to work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings
• Properly select, assemble, and identify characteristics of parts involving the pressing bearings, fitting and alignment of shafts, seating seals, spacers, and retainers.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow standardized work instructions and manufacturing procedures
• Inspect parts and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or process concerns
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Meet daily production targets and efficiency standards
• Adhere to all safety policies and wear required PPE
• Perform cell housekeeping duties on each shift along with provisional standards meeting 5-S requirements.
• Assistinmaintainingan atmosphere of continuous improvement and team effortsfor accomplishingdepartmental and plant goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned bysupervisor.
• Meet standards as communicated by supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of six (6)months’ manufacturing or repair experience in similar production environment, OR

• Completed Vocational School training, which includes comparable experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands for tools and small components
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to stoop, kneel and crawl for certain tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Works in a production environment where inattention could cause injury

This is a safety sensitive position.

This position is classified as Safety-Sensitive under the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act.
