Danfoss Power Solutions Segment in Shawnee, OK is seeking an Assembler for 1st shift to assemble hydraulic motors and subassemblies. You will follow routing sheets, use hand tools, and ensure quality while meeting 5S and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and up to six months of manufacturing experience, or vocational training. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with full-time hours on weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains 5S housekeeping and uses proper gauging and assembly equipment.
• Adheres to safety procedures and reports issues to supervisors.

The Impact You'll Make

Assembles parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench, conveyor line, or at an assigned location. Uses hand tools, small power tools, and other special equipment. Refers to technical drawings and written directions. Reassembles or reworks units as required. Provides guidance to less experienced light assembler as needed. High school education or equivalent required.
This is a 1st Shift position, working 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Communicate with peers, area supervisors, and area engineers to ensure product quality and internal/external customer satisfaction; assist in continuous improvement and team efforts to achieve departmental and plant goals.
• Read and use routing sheets, assembly/test instructions, operating instructions, and surface appearance templates to properly assemble and test hydraulic motors and gerolers/geroters, while troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Select, assemble, and identify part characteristics, including pressing bearings, fitting and aligning shafts, and seating seals, spacers, and retainers; visually inspect parts for defects and adjust/align components for proper fit.
• Properly use and maintain gauging and assembly equipment; perform supportive maintenance duties; complete scrap and timecard entries at the end of each shift.
• Perform cell housekeeping and maintain provisional standards that meet 5S requirements; complete tasks supporting ELS requirements such as setup reduction, CFM, and error-proofing.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations, including eye and hearing protection, machine guarding, ergonomics, lockout/tagout, and SDS requirements; meet supervisor-established standards and perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED is required
• One of the following
  • A minimum of six (6)months manufacturing or repair experience in similar production environment
  • Completed Vocational School training, which includes comparable experience.
• Demonstrate basic computer data entry skills.
• Ability to read, understand and effectively apply information contained in all applicable documents
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and any shift as needed, in a teamwork environment
