Job summary

Timberlab in the United States is seeking a detail-oriented assembler to fabricate semi-finished and finished mass timber components per job specs and drawings. You will read shop drawings, prepare workstations, and perform quality inspections to ensure tolerances are met.

The role requires familiarity with power tools, forklifts, overhead cranes, and adherence to OSHA safety practices. You will work in a physical environment, handling materials and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Able to perform manual operations requiring adept dexterity.
• Able to perform visual inspection of finished parts.
• Familiarity with power tools, forklift and overhead crane.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in various weather conditions.
• OSHA safety training and adherence to safety practices.

• Fabricate product per job specs and drawings
• Prepare workstations per Lead Assembly Technician direction
• Read, and understand shop drawings, blueprints, product specifications, and process documents
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure product meets job specs and tolerances
• Be knowledgeable on all hardware and fastener types
• Handle and transport material with forklift and overhead crane
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment
• Report issues with tool, equipment or unsafe conditions
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Able to perform manual operations requiring adept dexterity
• Able to competently perform visual inspection of finished parts
• Familiarity with power tools, forklift and overhead crane
• Able to meet physical demands of the job: standing for extended periods, lifting loads up to 50 pounds, squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt
• Comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions
• Forklift certificate

• Rigging training and certification
