Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembly Technician in Franklin, MA for a contract-to-hire position. You will assemble extrusion frames and components, read blueprints, and perform mechanical and light electro-mechanical tasks to ensure product quality.

You will inspect, measure, and troubleshoot, with opportunities to cross-train and grow within a team-focused environment. The role offers on-site work, first or second shift, and pay between $21 and $22 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with tools are required.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related hands-on work.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Assembly Technician

Franklin, MA | Contract-to-Hire | $21-$22/hr (dependent on experience)

Shift Options:

1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM (Shift Differential Available)

What You'll Do

• Assemble extrusion frames and related components using hand and power tools

• Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to build products accurately

• Perform mechanical and light electro-mechanical assembly tasks

• Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process

• Use measuring tools to verify specifications and dimensions

• Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to assemblies when needed

• Support the integration of subassemblies into finished products

• Cross-train in different assembly areas to expand your skills and experience

What We're Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, maintenance, automotive, or similar hands-on work

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

• Dependable work ethic and willingness to learn new skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic wiring, soldering, or electrical knowledge

• Cleanroom or medical device manufacturing experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
