Job Description

An Assembler is responsible for:

1. Reading and interpreting blueprint detail drawings and dimension styles.
2. Using shop paperwork to complete machine assembly.
3. Installing purchase parts and sub-assemblies before and after painting.
4. Installing drives and pulleys.
5. Updating paperwork to reflect changes.
6. Operating equipment safely, including Ironworker, Small Band Saw, Drill Presses, Jancey drills, Cutting Torch, etc.
7. Following safety procedures for overhead cranes and forklift operation, including certification.
8. Test-running equipment before shipment.
9. Maintaining a clean work area.
10. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Ability to read blueprints.
2. Ability to read 1/8”, 1/16”, and 1/32” gradations on tape measure.
3. Ability to convert feet to inches and vice versa.
4. Mechanical aptitude.
