Job summary

The Atlas Group in Wichita, Kansas is seeking an Assembly Manager to provide work direction and supervision for Assemblers and to coordinate with other departments and the Machine Shop on manufactured and purchased parts.

The role involves setting up rivet squeezes, ensuring quality and safety data handling for hazardous materials, maintaining accurate shop notes, and prioritizing shop orders to sustain flow while upholding AS9100 standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read customer provided documents, proficient at setting-up all machines in their area.
• Able to work well with people and make decisions.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provides work direction and supervision for Assemblers.
• Sets up and runs rivet squeezes accurately.
• Identifies safety data for jobs requiring sealers and hazardous materials.
• Ensures daily maintenance tasks are completed.
• Maintains logging of time in Estitrack and manages shop scrap.
• Maintains high morale and efficiency across the shop.
• Creates and maintains accurate shop notes.
• Reviews kits to ensure readiness for flow advancement.
• Schedules and prioritizes shop orders flow.
• Keeps shop inventory of rivets and consumables stocked.
• Ensures supplies are on hand and dates are current.
• Responsible for AS9100 compliance.
