Job summary

Atlas in Wichita, KS seeks an Assembly Manager to provide work direction and supervision for Assemblers, coordinating with departments and the Machine Shop on assembled parts, whether made in-house or purchased. The role determines shop procedures and flow, ensures part quality, and resolves manufacturing issues across teams.

The position also supports safety, time logging, inventory control, and overall shop efficiency, maintaining accurate notes and prioritizing orders to keep production

Qualifications

• Ability to read customer provided documents and set up machines in the assigned area.
• Able to work well with people and make decisions.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide work direction and supervision for Assemblers.
• Set up and run rivet squeezes accurately.
• Locate safety data for jobs with sealers and hazardous materials.
• Complete daily maintenance items.
• Take a certified sealers test and improve sealing efficiency.
• Log time into Estitrack and manage shop scrap.
• Maintain high morale and efficiency across areas.
• Create and maintain accurate shop notes.
• Review kits to ensure readiness to advance in flow.
• Schedule and prioritize shop orders.
• Ensure shop inventory, rivets and consumables, are in stock.
• Keep supplies current and available.
• Responsible for AS9100 compliance.
