Job summary

Majors Plastics is seeking a hands-on Assembly Supervisor to lead our production shift, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on the floor. You will supervise staff, coach operators, and drive continuous improvements while meeting customer quality standards.

This role is assigned to the 3rd shift with training on 1st shift; schedule is Monday–Friday with some weekends. You will maintain equipment calibration, manage reports, inventory, and safety procedures, and work closely with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Hands-on, technically inclined with supervisory experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production, training, and quality of employees.
• Maintain quality/calibration of assembly equipment.
• Ensure efficient, ergonomic workstations for speed.
• Identify housekeeping opportunities and implement corrections.
• Report machine problems to maintenance and issue work orders.
• Prepare complete and timely production reports.
• Record operator hours and daily production/rework.
• Manage product transfers from warehouse to assembly room.
• Maintain inventory levels of purchased and molded parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
• Administer safety procedures for shift personnel.
• Conduct daily shift kickoff meetings.
• Input daily production/reject data into the system.
• Assist supervisors with MPS accuracy per change requests.

Assistant supervisors are responsible for daily verification of MPS accuracy to process, and make changes accordingly following change request procedure.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities1. Previous supervisory experience preferred.2. Good oral and written communication skills.3. High School Diploma.4. Should be hands-on, technically inclined.5. Computer experience preferred.Physical Requirements1. Normal periods of sitting, standing or walking.2. The ability to travel between production facilities.4. The ability to lift, push or pull up to 75 pounds.5. Acceptable vision required.
