Supervises the activities of the Assembly department in the performance of light industrial assembly operations. Operates from a defined scope of responsibility to maintain production schedules and ensure quality standards are met during a period of team growth. Plans work assignments and trains employees in the assigned department, with a strong focus on scaling the team responsibly as headcount grows. Assists in the hiring process and administers the organization's policies for the assigned department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel to meet established KPIs, such as internal on-time delivery and production efficiency.
- Oversees the accomplishment and completion of assigned assembly work through subordinate leads.
- Promotes, communicates, and provides assistance to support company policies and procedures.
- Provides floor presence for employee accessibility and timely problem resolution for production issues such as equipment failure or component shortages.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluates new equipment and techniques.
- Communicates job expectations and results daily to front-line employees.
- Leads onboarding and training for a growing assembly team, supporting a planned significant increase in headcount over the next several years.
- Fosters good relations by employee coaching, counseling, and development, and follows all policies related to performance management.
- Maintains production staff by assisting in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of employees.
- Maintains quality standards by enforcing the organization's quality policies and procedures.
- Provides and maintains production performance data to management.
- Provides a clean, safe work environment using 5S philosophies for all employees within the factory.
- Ensures compliance with all HR-related policies, including anti-harassment and anti-discrimination initiatives.
Skills, Education, and/or Experience
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills while cultivating teams through a period of growth.

- Continuous improvement mindset that cultivates innovation and efficiency as the team scales.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a supervisory role within assembly or a related field.
- Background in sheet metal, electrical, or appliance-related manufacturing preferred.
- Familiarity or experience with ISO 9001 certification preferred.
- A combination of education and relevant experience is desired.

- May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
