Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Electronics Assembler for a 3rd shift role onsite in the United States. The responsibilities include assembling and repairing electronic units, identifying parts, soldering, and ensuring quality through inspection and documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience and the ability to work 3rd shift hours. IPC Class III solder certification is preferred, with aerospace experience considered an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift hours: Monday – Thursday, or Sun-Wednesday 8:00pm - 6:00am.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and repair a variety of electronic units using prescribed repair techniques.
  • Identify correct parts, components, wires, and materials needed for assembly and repair.
  • Solder electronic components using industry-standard techniques and tools.
  • Remove suspect and failed components and install new components accurately.
  • Operate assembly machines and ensure proper functioning.
  • Measure, mix, and apply chemicals and adhesives according to safety and operational guidelines.
  • Read and interpret technical data including component maintenance manuals, assembly instructions, and engineering prints.
  • Communicate work status to team members and support staff, ensuring seamless workflow.
  • Document clear and concisely and maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize computer skills and office software applications.
  • 3rd Shift: Monday – Thursday, or Sun-Wednesday 8:00pm - 6:00am
  • Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm for ~60 days.

What You Will Do

  • Ability to work 3rd shift hours: Monday – Thursday, or Sun-Wednesday 8:00pm - 6:00am.

Onsite:

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
