Job summary

Double E Company, LLC is seeking an Assembly/Service Technician to safely assemble, test, and troubleshoot products and support our installed base. Travel 10–15% domestically to startup, maintain, and train at customer locations.

You will work with electromechanical systems, PLCs, HMIs, and drives, translating schematics and drawings into reliable production runs while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on electromechanical expertise on shop floor.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and electrical wiring best practices.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and drives; ladder logic troubleshooting.
  • Previous customer-facing experience is required.
  • Ability to document work and pull up schematics across systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products per routings, work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Test, evaluate, and document assembled products prior to shipment.
  • Troubleshoot installed products with customers via phone, computer, and in person.
  • Train customers' employees on operation and maintenance of products/systems.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Approximately 10–15% overnight travel required to support machine startups, maintenance, and training at customer locations.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

About the Role

The Assembly/Service Technician is responsible for safely assembling, testing and troubleshooting company products in accordance with routings, work instructions, drawings and specifications. This role will share in-field service duties with the other team members to support our installed base of products.

Position requires about 10-15% travel, including domestic overnight travel. International travel/service support experience is a plus.

Requirements
About You
  • Bring hands-on electromechanical expertise to the shop floor.
  • Comfortable with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, plus electrical circuits and wiring best practices.
  • Work confidently with PLCs, HMIs, and drives.
  • Translate ladder logic into real-world troubleshooting and smooth production runs.
  • Independent problem-solver, clear communicator, and a service-first mindset with internal customers and production stakeholders.
  • Previous customer facing experience required.
  • General computer skills to document work, pull up schematics, and collaborate across systems.
Education and Experience
  • Strong ability to comprehend Engineering drawings (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic) and work instructions.
  • Preferred have a degree in an electrical/electro-mechanical field and/or minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in Allen Bradley controls.
