Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
• Develop and manage production schedules to support demand and on-time shipments.
• Coach and develop production teams to foster a positive culture.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to improve metrics.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to optimize efficiency.
• Monitor OEE, scrap, yield, downtime, and cycle times to improve performance.
• Maintain safe working environment and manage labor costs and budgets.
• Support new product launches, equipment implementation, and validations.
• Prepare operational performance reports for senior leadership.

Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Assembly Production Manager to lead production operations at their Georgia facility.

Job Summary

The Assembly Production Manager is responsible for directing and optimizing all production activities within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while meeting customer quality standards and delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives.
• Develop and manage production schedules to support customer demand and on-time shipment performance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop production teams while promoting a positive and accountable work culture.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and related requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to optimize production efficiency.
• Monitor key manufacturing metrics such as OEE, scrap, yield, downtime, and cycle times.
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage labor utilization, operating costs, and production budgets to support profitability goals.
• Support new product launches, equipment implementation, process improvements, and validation activities.
• Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in an assembly automotive production environment.
• Strong understanding of automotive quality systems, manufacturing processes, and process improvement methodologies.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and corrective action initiatives.
• Proven leadership, team-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
