Job summary

Client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/Assembly Engineer to provide technical expertise in production, cost, quality, and safety for fuel injector assembly. You will troubleshoot assembly equipment and support process improvements in a high-paced manufacturing environment.

Collaborating with quality, manufacturing engineering, and operations, you will develop APQP artifacts, PFMEA, and control plans, and help walk back first pass failures to root causes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/assembly engineering.
• Experience creating APQP artifacts including PFMEA, Process Flow and Control Plan.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; able to present data clearly.
• Experience with assembly and test processes in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional meetings in person and virtually.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting assembly equipment as needed.
• Assisting in process improvements for current assembly process.
• Understanding and walking back issues from first test pass failures.
• Creating and updating APQP elements.

Typical task breakdown:

• - Troubleshooting assembly equipment if needed
• - Assisting in process improvements for current assembly process

Team Structure

• - Work with 13 other Manufacturing engineers and test engineers on the team reporting up through tech service manager
