Job summary

Tecknomic LLC in Georgetown, KY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Assembly Planning group to support research, development, and implementation of new assembly technologies, contributing to production preparation of capital equipment from investment planning through operations sustainment.

You will work 100% onsite with travel up to 20% domestically/internationally, collaborate across teams, and drive cost per unit improvements through optimized processes and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or applicable discipline.
• 2+ years of project experience in production preparation of capital equipment (investment planning, technical specs, procurement, installation, operations sustainment).
• 2+ years of procedural and practical knowledge of manufacturing/production engineering equipment, tools, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Support research, development, preparation, and implementation of new technologies and solutions for final assembly processes.
• Support advanced equipment planning and site-team operational excellence within vehicle assembly.
• Contribute to production preparation of capital equipment: investment planning, technical specification development, procurement, installation, and operations sustainment.

• Collaborate across internal and external groups to meet project objectives.

• Ability to self-direct and collaborate across teams to meet project objectives
• Able to work 100% onsite in Georgetown, KY (local), travel about 20% (domestic and international), work overtime as needed, and meet shop-floor PPE requirements (steel-toed shoes)
