Job summary

Toyota's Engineering Excellence & Strategy – Assembly Planning Department seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support research, development, planning, and implementation of new technologies for final assembly processes across North American operations.

The role focuses on production preparation, equipment specifications, and coordination of equipment procurement, installation, and sustainment while partnering with internal and external teams to improve operational excellence and Cost Per Unit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in production preparation and manufacturing engineering.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong project coordination and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support production preparation activities for capital equipment projects.
• Develop equipment technical specifications and implementation plans.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Equipment or model launch experience.
• CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, Vault, XVL.
• Quality Systems knowledge (FMEA, ISO, NAQSR).
• PLC / Electrical Circuitry knowledge.
• Python, C/C++, or Java.
• Machine Design, Machining, or Fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing equipment and processes.
