Job summary

nVent is seeking a hands-on assembler to join their manufacturing team. The role focuses on assembling, labeling, packing products per Work Instructions, and maintaining accurate production records in a fast-paced environment.

You will grow through cross-training in multiple Assembly positions to support business needs while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent 0-2 years Manufacturing or Production work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product or component according to work instructions.
• Complete work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or work instructions.
• Select and move production materials as required.
• Maintain equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
• Meet safety, quality, and performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
• Record accurate information on Manufacturing Orders and maintain inventory balances.
• Adhere to 5S standards and escalate issues per procedure.

Position Summary

In this position, you will be hands on in assembling, labeling, and/or packing products in accordance with quality standards. As you grow, you will get to cross train in a variety of Assembly position to support the needs of the business.

Key role responsibilities

• Work individually or part of team to assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product or component of a product according to Work Instructions.
• Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.
• Selects and moves production materials as required.
• Maintains equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
• Meets established safety, quality, performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
• Records accurate information on Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
• Complies with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards.
• Reports adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to department leader in accordance to escalation procedure.
• Adheres to department 5S standards daily.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• In accordance with escalation procedure, notifies team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
• Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed.
• Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent 0-2 years Manufacturing or Production work experience.
• Bend, squat down, and reach above your head

• Lift and carry at least 25 pounds
• Work in confined spaces
• Ability to work in a fast-paced; multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
