Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Assembly Operator to assemble fabricated relays per work orders and diagrams. The role emphasizes quality, housekeeping, and EH&S compliance in a Monday–Friday shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience. Candidates should read blueprints and work in a team, with ISO 9001 familiarity and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and detailed drawings.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 is a plus.
  • Team player and willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Reads work orders and follows drawings or verbal instructions.
  • Follows blueprints and schematics to build the product.
  • Completes essential documents (LHRs, inspection records, validation docs).
  • Positions and aligns parts in fixtures or jigs.
  • Performs intermediate assembly tasks (pad printing, adhesive bonding, light soldering, welding).
  • Trims materials to meet specified dimensions.
  • Performs go/no-go testing and inspections to meet specs.
  • Inspects in-process work to ensure quality.
  • Packages finished assemblies or subassemblies.
  • Trains others on basic operations.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Assembly Operator, will assemble fabricated relays, as specified by work orders, diagrams, or layout: Aligns and clamps parts together, using rule, square, or hand tools, or positions items in fixtures, jigs, or vise. Performs duties while paying attention to quality and detail. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity’s EH&S policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
  • Follow detailed blueprints, schematics instructions, processes, and procedures to build our product.
  • Accurate complete all essential documents (i.e. Lot History Records (LHR's), Inspection Records and Validation Documentation)
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
  • Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as pad printing, adhesive bonding, light soldering, welding and perform leak testing.
  • Adjusts and trims materials from components to achieve specified dimensional characteristics
  • Performs online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Ability to inspect work-in-process to documented quality standards to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Packages finished assemblies or subassemblies.
  • Ability to perform and demonstrate all manufacturing procedures after training.
  • Ability to train others on basic operations.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience required.
  • Working knowledge of hand tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and detailed drawings. Understand military specifications a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English. Good written and oral communication skills
  • A safe quality conscious attitude working in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail is imperative.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001. SAP experience is preferred but not required.
  • Team Player: Willing to help production team to complete assigned tasks. Will work overtime to support production goals as needed.
  • This position requires access to information that is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $18.10/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
