Job summary

Majors Plastics, Inc. is seeking Assembly Operators to help meet customer expectations in a clean, temperature-controlled production area. This employee-owned company offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Shifts available include 1st Shift from 6:55 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role emphasizes following the Manufacturing Process Sheet, maintaining tools, and producing quality packaging according to work instructions.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic math operations such as counting and addition.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Read the Manufacturing Process Sheet (MPS) to determine required processes and procedures.
  • Ensure required supplies and tools are ready, per the MPS.
  • Report to supervisor five minutes before shift for kickoff meeting.
  • Verify rejection sheets and product labels; initial labeling and filing correctly.
  • Visually inspect products for cosmetic defects (shorts, flash, silver, contamination).
  • Assemble per MPS instructions and work to bid.
  • Package acceptable products into boxes per MPS (by count or weight).
  • Report machine or product problems to shift supervisor, setup technician, or inspector.
  • Keep workstation, machine and area free from clutter and debris.
  • Turn in all supplies/tools at end of shift.

Have all required supplies and tools needed to perform necessary job duties as per the MPS. Supplies and tools are provided as needed.3. Report to supervisor’s office five (5) minutes prior to the start of shift for the shift kick off meeting. Do not leave workstation or machine without supervisor's knowledge.4. Verify that the reject sheets and product labels (if applicable) are at workstation. Initial product labels in designated space and verify that reject sheet is filed out correctly.5. Visually inspect product for cosmetic defects such as shorts, flash, silver, and contamination.6. Complete assembly job per work instructions from the Manufacturing Process Sheet (MPS). Work to bid.7. Package acceptable products into boxes per MPS. Packaging may consist of count or weight.8. Report any problems with machine or product to the shift supervisor, set-up technician, and/or inspector.9. Keep workstation, machine, and surrounding area, free from clutter and plastic debris.10.
