Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking an Assembly Operator in the United States to perform manual assembly tasks per strict customer requirements. You will measure parts, assemble using adhesives, and participate in quality checks. The role requires attention to documentation, 5S discipline, and cooperation with the Production Supervisor to meet targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient in measuring with calipers, micrometers, height stands, CMM, etc.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in varying temperatures.

• Assist in producing quality parts meeting customer specs and deadlines.

Job description

The Assembly Operator will perform manual assembly tasks to strict customer requirements. These tasks may include, but not limited to, inserting, working with adhesives, and part marking of various Thermoplastic and Thermoset parts.

• Assist in identifying quality issues within the cell

• Proficient in measuring using calipers, micrometers, height stands, CMM, etc.

• Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred

• Computer and Math skills

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to work in above ambient temperatures

• Maintain high attendance standards

• Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions

• Complete all paperwork correctly, legibly and honestly

• Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles

• Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost and delivery

• Ability escape problems as they arise within the department

• Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a fast paced work environment

• Adhere to Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action and ability to maintain professionalism at all times

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $39,300 to $43,600. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
