Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an Assembly Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift (3 pm–11 pm) to lead production and a team, ensuring the daily schedule is met and safety guidelines are followed.

You will monitor efficiencies, resolve issues on the floor, and maintain performance reports, requiring a high school diploma and 5 years supervisory experience in corrugated manufacturing, plus bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 5 years supervisory experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Clear communication with employees and management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with corrugated industry software (Amtech, Harry Rhodes, Kiwi).
• Bilingual environment: English/Spanish.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all production areas for a single shift and lead the team.
• Ensure daily production schedule is met and production demands.
• Monitor safety and ensure employees follow guidelines.
• Achieve production efficiencies and rates; monitor, adjust and resolve daily issues.

Opportunity Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for all areas of production for a single shift and leads a Team of people assigned to perform work; direct people to produce finished product. The Supervisor is responsible for the production schedule and meeting all aspects of the defined criteria.

2nd shift position (3 pm - 11 pm).

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

• Responsible to all areas of Production; Machine centers and Production.
• Responsible for meeting Daily Production Schedule and demands
• Monitor and ensure all employees are working safely and within guidelines
• Is responsible for meeting projected Production Efficiencies and rates.
• Monitor Production, and resolve daily issues that occur on Production Floor
• Keep track of efficiency reports

What you need to succeed:

• Must Have High School Diploma or GED and 5 years supervisory experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and math skills.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with employees and management
• Intermediate computer skills: Email, Excel, Word, and relative corrugated industry specific software experience. Examples: Amtech, Harry Rhodes, Kiwi
• Ability to clearly communicate to other team members and supervisors in a bilingual English/Spanish environment.

• Adhere to safety guidelines as set by management
