Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an Assembly Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift (3 pm – 11 pm). You will lead a production team, manage the shift schedule, assign tasks, and drive safety and efficiency on the production floor.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of supervisory experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment, plus basic measurement and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5 years supervisory experience in corrugated manufacturing.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Clear communication with employees and management.
• Proficient with basic computer software: Email, Excel, Word; corrugated industry software experience: Amtech, Harry Rhodes, Kiwi.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team on a single shift and direct people to produce finished product.
• Meet the production schedule and production demands.
• Monitor safety and ensure employees work within guidelines.
• Achieve projected production efficiencies and rates.
• Monitor production and resolve daily issues on the production floor.
• Maintain efficiency reports.

Opportunity Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for all areas of production for a single shift and leads a Team of people assigned to perform work; direct people to produce finished product. The Supervisor is responsible for the production schedule and meeting all aspects of the defined criteria.

This is a 2nd shift position (3 pm - 11 pm).

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

• Responsible to all areas of Production; Machine centers and Production.
• Responsible for meeting Daily Production Schedule and demands
• Monitor and ensure all employees are working safely and within guidelines
• Is responsible for meeting projected Production Efficiencies and rates.
• Monitor Production, and resolve daily issues that occur on Production Floor
• Keep track of efficiency reports

What you need to succeed:

• Must Have High School Diploma or GED and 5 years supervisory experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and math skills.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with employees and management
• Intermediate computer skills: Email, Excel, Word, and relative corrugated industry specific software experience. Examples: Amtech, Harry Rhodes, Kiwi
• Ability to clearly communicate to other team members and supervisors in a bilingual English/Spanish environment.
