Job summary

RTX is seeking an onsite Weekend Shift Aircraft Mechanic to service turbine engines, perform disassembly/assembly and inspect parts in the Midland/MPC area.

The role requires an A&P license or equivalent experience, SAP familiarity, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, plus 401(k) match and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and assemble engines and accessories.

  • Perform basic inspections of part condition.
  • Maintain tool control and ensure tooling readiness.
  • Adhere to EH&S policies and training requirements.

Weekend Shift
What You Will Do
  • Engine disassembly/assembly - Perform mechanic duties to disassemble and assemble engines, engine sections and accessories.
  • Clean - Perform cleaning of engine parts and components.
  • Perform visual checks to assess minimal part condition for continued use where applicable.
  • Understand the basic inspection techniques as a part of a career development path.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
  • SAP familiarity.
  • Ability to manage tools and tooling to ensure serviceability before and after use and process appropriately when issues arise.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Qualifications
  • A&P License or two years aviation, aerospace and/or previous mechanical experience.
  • Turbine engine overhaul, and repair experience preferred in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Assembly.
  • Ability to identify and resolve configuration and compatibility issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
