Job summary

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety and security practices to protect employees and property.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, peers and subordinates.
• Understanding of production and processing workflows and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Communicate schedules and assignments based on work priority and equipment.
• Patrol and monitor work areas to detect unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Assign tasks based on skills and training; train employees on tasks and equipment.
• Examine objects, systems or facilities and inform management of needs.
• Provide feedback and help employees correct job-skill deficiencies.
• Requisition materials and supplies and obtain management approval.
• Interpret specifications and blueprints to construct templates and layouts.
• Promote a hazard-free environment and inspect processes and equipment.
• Recommend improvements in safety, repair and maintenance techniques.
• Motivate employees to perform at their best and maintain 5S and clean area.
