Analog Devices, Chelmsford, MA, is seeking Manufacturing Electro-Mechanical Assembly Operators to support the production of high-performance microwave modules and sub-systems. The role involves night shifts, microscope-based assembly, and precise hand-soldering of components in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED (vocational diploma a plus) and 1–3 years of micro/mechanical assembly experience. US citizenship or clearance capability is required.

Responsibilities

  • Work 8 hours under the microscope using fine hand tools.
  • In-process inspection and self-inspection.
  • Hand solder components, wires, and jumpers into assemblies per IPC-610.
  • Assemble and/or solder electronic components to printed circuit boards.
  • MMIC Die attach of chip components using silver epoxy.
  • Hybrid circuit assemblies using silver epoxy and solder.
  • Read and work from process sheets, prints, drawings; follow instructions.
  • Maintain neat, clean work areas and adhere to safety standards.
  • Cross-train and perform related duties as required.

Analog Devices Inc., Chelmsford Massachusetts facility is looking for multiple Manufacturing Electro-Mechanical Assembly Operators to support in our continued growth in the manufacture of high-performance microwave modules and sub-systems. Requirements
  • US Citizenship and able/willing to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions/documentation.
  • Good computer skills
  • 1 to 3-years working as a Micro assembly/Mechanical assembly preferred or related experience.
  • High school diploma/GED required. A diploma from a Vocational High School or Technical Diploma is a plus.

Shifts:

Monday - Friday

2nd: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM EST

3rd: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST

This is a hands-on nightshift position that requires a strong ability to work on delicate parts utilizing a microscope.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Ability to work 8 hours under the microscope utilizing miniaturized hand tools such as tweezers and fine screwdrivers.
  • In-process inspection and self-inspection.
  • Hand solder components, wires, and jumpers into the assemblies per IPC-610.
  • Assemble and/or solder electronic components to printed circuit boards.
  • MMIC Die attach of chip components using silver epoxy.
  • Hybrid circuit assemblies using silver epoxy and solder.
  • Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets, prints and drawings.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions, as well as other job activities.
  • Hand assembly using a variety of tools and or equipment according to specifications/process
  • Use Loctite, epoxy, and other compounds as required by the assembly process steps
  • Handle of ESD sensitive material and equipment
  • Willing to be cross-trained and perform other related duties as required.
  • Good dexterity, eye / hand coordination.
  • Demonstrate a keen awareness of safety practices and familiarity with OSHA standards.
  • Ensure work areas are kept neat, clean, and organized per company guideline.
  • Must maintain a very good attendance record.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $25 to $31.
