Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Chelmsford, MA seeks a 2nd Shift Rework Technician to support microwave module and sub-system manufacturing. You will perform precision rework on QFN components and RF devices, using hot plates and hot-air tools under a microscope, while maintaining solder joint integrity per IPC-610.

Shift is 3PM–11:30PM with eligible shift differential. Requirements include a high school diploma and US citizenship; current clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma; vocational/technical training is a plus.
  • US citizenship and government security clearance are preferred or required.
  • Ability to read process sheets, prints and drawings; attention to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Work 8 hours under a microscope using fine hand tools.
  • In-process and self-inspection; hand solder components to PCBs.
  • MMIC die attach and hybrid circuit assembly using silver epoxy.
  • Follow detailed process sheets and work instructions; maintain clean work areas.
  • Cross-train and participate in continuous improvement teams.

Analog Devices Inc., Chelmsford Massachusetts facility is looking for a 2nd Shift Rework Technician to support our continued growth in the manufacture of high-performance microwave modules and sub-systems.

Customers trust Analog Devices to deliver integrated electronics, and ADI is interested in energetic and organized team players that want to deliver quality products in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidate should be skilled in performing precision rework on QFN components, RF amplifiers, and products with extensive ground planes.

Experienced using hot plates and hot‑air rework tools to safely remove, repair, and replace components while maintaining solder joint integrity and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Work hours are 3PM - 11:30 PM and is eligible for shift differential.

We are looking for electro/mechanical assemblers with: 5+ years working as a Micro assembly/Mechanical assembly preferred or related experience Candidates should have Class 3 soldering skills per IPC-610 All applicants must be team players highly motivated to learn the complex assembly requirements of microwave systems.

This is a hands‑on position that requires a strong ability to work on delicate parts utilizing a microscope Communication skills and commitment to quality products are extremely important This role includes working on continuous improvement teams along with development engineering and manufacturing

Requirements:
  • High school diploma required.
  • A diploma from a Vocational High School or Technical Diploma is a plus.
  • Must be a US citizen, government security clearance is required.
  • Current clearance holder preferred!
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions/documentation Commitment to learn and develop new skills
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Ability to work 8 hours under the microscope utilizing miniaturized hand tools such as tweezers and fine screwdrivers
  • In-process inspection and self-inspection
  • Hand solder components, wires, and jumpers into the assemblies per IPC-610
  • Assemble and/or solder electronic components to printed circuit boards
  • MMIC Die attach of chip components using silver epoxy
  • Hybrid circuit assemblies using silver epoxy and solder
  • Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets, prints and drawings
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions, as well as other job activities
  • Dexterity, eye - hand coordination for assembly using a variety of tools and or equipment according to specifications/process
  • Use Loctite, epoxy, and other compounds as required by the assembly process steps
  • Handle of ESD sensitive material and equipment
  • Willing to be cross‑trained and perform other related duties as required
  • Demonstrate a keen awareness of safety practices and familiarity with OSHA standards
  • Ensure work areas are kept neat, clean, and organized per company guideline
  • Must maintain a very good attendance record

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $28 to $35. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
