Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Brooklyn Park, MN, is seeking an Assembly Inspector to ensure each machine leaves the facility with Caterpillar’s renowned quality. You will inspect, calibrate, and repair torque/metrology equipment, ensuring alignment with design records and standards.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and delivering high-quality parts for global customers. Openings are on the 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM CST).

Qualifications

• 3 years of assembly experience in heavy machine or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawing.
• 3 years of quality assurance experience in manufacturing environments including line inspections (parts inspection)

Responsibilities

• Assemble quality products and calibrate, certify, maintain and repair torque and metrology equipment.
• Ensure machines adhere to design records and engineering standards; identify, address and document defects.
• Collaborate with teams to respond to, manage, and resolve assembly-related quality problems while meeting production schedules.
• Support team initiatives for People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost.
