Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Assembly I to operate and maintain stations assembling, aligning, and adjusting fabricated parts according to specifications. You will follow established manufacturing procedures and work with blueprints, work instructions, and SOPs while using a range of hand and power tools.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assemble units using hand and power tools.
  • Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and specifications.
  • Repair or refit parts that fail tests or tolerance levels.
  • Maintain attention to detail and perform repetitive tasks reliably.
  • Be cross-trained to support all Assembly I roles.

Job Overview

Assembly I operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units.
  • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
  • May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
  • Must be cross‑trained and able to support all Assembly I roles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
  • Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
  • Ability to follow blueprints.
  • Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
