Apogee Enterprises, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking an Assembly I to operate and maintain stations assembling, aligning, and adjusting fabricated parts according to specifications. You will use hand and power tools, follow blueprints, and ensure products meet tolerances.

The role requires basic computer use and adherence to safety and quality standards. This position is based in a manufacturing facility with potential overtime, teamwork, and opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read measuring devices (tape measures) accurately.
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints and work instructions.
• Basic data entry and computer use required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain assembly stations to assemble, align, and adjust parts per specifications.
• Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and quality standards.
• Repair or refit parts that fail tests or tolerance levels when needed.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and perform repetitive tasks consistently.
• Be cross-trained to support all Assembly I roles.

Job Overview

Assembly I operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units.
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
• May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
• Must be cross‑trained and able to support all Assembly I roles.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
