Assembly/Harnessing Technician
Reports To: Supervisor, Assembly (CHT) – Onsite, Chatsworth, CA

We are looking for an Assembly/Harnessing Technician to join our Manufacturing Assembly and Test team, working on first shift in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble high reliability chassis and final assemblies using circuit cards, stand‑offs, wire harnesses, solder and crimping, electrical and mechanical instruments.
- Perform high reliability soldering and crimping operations on complex sub‑assemblies, electronic and mechanical assemblies; repair circuit boards, jumper wires and wire harnesses.
- Decipher and work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, test specifications and other instructions, both written and oral.
- Follow applicable Electro‑Static Discharge (ESD) procedures.
- Perform running harnessing and work with motion control pointing mechanisms as required.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering to diagnose and propose necessary rework on intricate models.
- Co‑work with engineering to innovate testing procedures and suggest worksheet process changes.
- Clean components to required cleanliness levels.
- Maintain traceability records, MDC forms and configuration records on controlled programs.
- Work on repair units normally run with production units.
- May be required to travel to customer facilities to service Moog hardware.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- 5+ years of electrical assembly and soldering experience.
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., Aerospace, Medical Devices/FDA).
- J‑STD solder certification required; NASA certification preferred.
- Ability to work directly from engineering drawings and written instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Additional training from a technical/vocational school is valued.
