Responsibilities

  • Read motor layouts and diagnose issues from SFDs, TDRs, and diagrams.
  • Operate with Shop Floor Display and SAP; communicate prototype notes with Engineering.
  • Manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet minimum production requirements with quality results.
  • Move and handle motors and components up to 90 lbs; use hand and pneumatic tools; follow safety procedures.

This position reports to:

Quality Manager

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Fort Smith, AR

Your role and responsibilities:
  • Working knowledge of AC motors, including end plates, rotors, windings, motor layouts, shaft/endplate prints, troubleshooting, and diagnosis. Ability to read SFDs, special instructions, TDRs, manufacturing instructions, diagrams, and indication gauges. Experience in Assembly/Finishing is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Shop Floor Display and Bus/SAP. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with Engineering regarding prototype notes and work with team members.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, meet minimum production requirements, and produce defect-free, quality work. Must understand and properly use required PPE, maintain a clean workstation, and follow safety and manufacturing procedures.
  • Ability to perform repetitive pulling, pushing, and twisting motions; move trays of assembled and unassembled motors weighing up to 90 lbs. across conveyor lines; and work with sealants, silicone, and greases. Must be able to use various hand and pneumatic tools, understand flex flow/day-and-rank systems, and assist in other areas as needed.
