Job summary

Vermeer is seeking an assembly technician in Griswold, CT to follow digital instructions and assemble equipment and subassemblies. You will align components, fasten parts, install moving components and test function to ensure quality is met for customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Follow provided job instructions to assemble equipment and subassemblies per Vermeer’s quality standards.
• Align components and bolts then fasten them according to torque specifications, install moving parts and test to ensure parts move as intended.
• Inspect painted parts to ensure quality.
• Apply decals, company logos, safety warning notices and other items to the finished product.
• Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including fractions and decimals.
• Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offer suggestions to improve performance metrics.
