Vermeer is seeking an entry-level welder I to join our manufacturing team in Moonville, SC. You will develop foundational welding skills while contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The role involves reading blueprints, performing tack welds, and using fixtures to prepare components for final welding. Join a collaborative environment where you’ll learn welding standards, access digital work instructions, and support root-cause analysis for quality.

Complete weldments in various positions according to blueprints and welding procedure specifications, following Vermeer Welding Standards and supporting our commitment to innovation and excellence.2. Prepare, position, and align components using fixtures; bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure them for final welding, demonstrating our culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.3. Safely and efficiently operate an oxyfuel cutting (OFC) torch for preheating and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.4. Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions; apply decimal-based measurements to ensure precision and quality.5. Access digital drawings and work instructions via computer systems to support accurate weld execution.6. Identify welding defects, assist in root cause analysis, and support corrective actions to maintain product quality and exceed customer expectations.7.
