Job summary

ACTIA Corporation is seeking an Assembly Operator in Romulus, Michigan to work in a team-oriented environment. This role requires producing components by assembling parts while ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality requirements. Candidates should have previous manufacturing experience and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Summary

Working to strict safety and quality requirements, help to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements, optimizing efficiency and maintaining operational excellence. Perform many operations within the process with some supervision.

  • Manufacturing Experience, Manufacturing Quality, Mechanical Inspection Tools, Safety Management, Quality Focus, Power Tools, Judgment, Decision Making
General Responsibilities
  • Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Miscellaneous Duties
  • Monitor the production process and carry out basic testing and quality checks
  • Adjust machine controls whilst monitoring the production process and outputs
  • Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery
  • Report equipment faults to maintenance staff
  • Build up components and sub-assemblies into finished electrical or mechanical products
  • Stack goods appropriately
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Other duties as assigned
