Job summary

Castelion is seeking an Assembly & Integration Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace hardware. You will work with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and test teams to build mechanical and electromechanical assemblies per engineering drawings and specifications.

The role requires hands-on assembly experience, the ability to read schematics and ICDs, and strict adherence to procedures and documentation. Clean room work and potential travel are involved.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 3+ years of technician experience or high school with 5+ years in a technician role.
• Demonstrated experience assembling flight hardware and related assemblies.
• Knowledge of ESD fundamentals and strict documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and test mechanical and electromechanical assemblies in line with drawings and ICDs.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and assembly instructions accurately.
• Follow procedures, record results, and note discrepancies for quality control.
• Work in a clean room environment to assemble hardware.

Assembly and Integration Technician

Castelion is seeking an Assembly & Integration Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of complex aerospace and defense hardware. In this role, you will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and test teams to build and integrate mechanical and electromechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on component and subassembly development, assembly, and test
• Reading and understanding electrical schematics, drawings, and ICDs
• Following assembly procedures; record results and discrepancies
• Working in clean room to assemble hardware
• Operating flight hardware qualification test equipment (e.g., Thermal, Vibration, standard lab power supplies)
• Incoming inspection and data collection on components
• Data verification, collection, and organization (component COC/COA/Travelers)
• Ability and willingness to perform moderate physical tasks, such as lifting, carrying, bending, continuous standing
• Performing other various tasks, including, but not limited to: cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment, ordering and picking up supplies
• Assisting engineers and other technicians
• Performing all other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Associates degree and three (3) years of experience as a technician, or high school and five (5) years of experience as a technician
• Demonstrated experience assembling flight hardware
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ESD fundamentals is required
• Demonstrated ability to accurately read drawings, and assembly procedures, and other related documentation
• Experience interpreting assembly drawings
• Experience mixing and applying epoxies and adhesives
• Some travel may be required
• Potential for supporting extended work weeks during some phases of assembly, integration and test, as necessary
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD clearance
