Job summary

Castelion is seeking a production engineer to lead day-to-day manufacturing and process optimization of bonded assemblies across all Castelion products. You will help design factory processes to scale to thousands of units per year and create comprehensive build instructions, test procedures, and safety standards.

You will collaborate with supply chain, design reviews, tooling teams, and develop detailed schedules to meet aggressive flight goals while ensuring quality and manufacturability."

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly or testing experience or heavy involvement in extracurricular design teams at the university level.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with bonding using RTVs and epoxies is a plus.
• Experience with NX/Teamcenter CAD/PDM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine process documentation including build instructions, test procedures, safety standards, and mBOMs.
• Create, maintain and communicate detailed plans and schedules.
• Work closely with supply chain to develop new and existing suppliers.
• Design and validate tooling.
• Participate in design reviews to drive design for manufacturing (DFM).

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine process documentation including build instructions, test procedures, safety standards, and mBOMs.
• Create, maintain and communicate detailed plans and schedules
• Work closely with supply chain to develop new and existing suppliers
• Design and validate tooling
• Participate in design reviews to drive design for manufacturing (DFM)

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline
• 2+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly or testing experience or heavy involvement in extra-curricular design teams at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience with Bonding using RTVs and Epoxies
• Experience with NX/Teamcenter CAD/PDM
• Hands on experience in vacuum bagging, materials and process development.
• Experience in transitioning development process to production

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
• Must be willing to travel up to 1 week/month.
