Assembly Technician

Job Description

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical and electrical components according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing specifications. This role works as part of a production team to ensure products are built safely, accurately, and in compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.

• Read blueprints, and work instructions to complete builds accurately.

• Inspect finished assemblies, identify defects, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience with mechanical assembly and the use of hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of electrical assembly, including basic wiring, soldering, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Strong measurement, problem-solving, and quality inspection skills with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or fabrication experience.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, static-free, temperature-controlled production facility. Work involves frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials throughout shifts that can be up to 10 hours. The environment uses a wide range of hand tools, power tools, HVAC equipment, and cutting and fastening tools. Team members are expected to follow all safety protocols and maintain appropriate work attire suitable for a production and assembly setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winona, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.13 - $21.13/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
