Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Assembler for the Avery Creek facility in North Carolina. The role involves winding, assembly, and final assembly of control equipment, with checks of electrical and mechanical performance.

The job requires moving around the plant and handling materials, including ladders and bending tasks. The position is 1st shift with hours 5am–3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Avery Creek, NC; Active Duty military exempt from geographic requirement.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.
• Determines necessary parts and material and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.
• Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals.
• Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts to form completed control assembly.
• May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.
• Checks electrical/mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards.
