Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking an Assembler for the Avery Creek facility. The role runs Monday–Thursday 5am–3:30pm with possible overtime, performing winding, assembly, and final assembly of control equipment.

You will read drawings, determine parts, prepare wiring, and verify assemblies meet quality standards. The position requires physical movement, lifting up to 35 pounds, and the ability to move around the plant while adhering to safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire control equipment from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare parts and materials, cut, strip, and attach terminals.
• Route, assemble, wire, adjust, and fit components to form complete sub-assemblies.
• Perform final assembly and check electrical/mechanical performance.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and report irregularities.
• Work overtime as required and follow engineering changes.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembler 1st Shift - Avery Creek.Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm. This position is eligible for overtime, which can be mandated at times.The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour.The core hours are Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The primary function of the Assembler, is to perform winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and to produce complete sub-assemblies, and final assembly of control equipment. Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies. This department requires physical movement throughout the facility as it relates to mechanical assembly, and obtaining materials through kneeling, bending, squatting, and moving up and down ladders throughout the plant.In this function you will:• Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.• Determines necessary parts and material and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.• Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals.• Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly.• May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.• Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required.• Executes engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required.• Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach.• Maintains records as required.• Observes all safety and hygiene rules and regulations.• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.• Other assignments as required.• Operator of power tools, including battery powered and compressed airQualifications:Required Qualifications:• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
