Job summary

Brunswick is hosting open interviews for positions in Assembler, Welder or Fabricator. You will assist in assembling aluminum boats and sub-assemblies, either at the bench, in a boat, or on the shop floor. The role requires standing for a 10-hour shift and adherence to safety and quality procedures.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED preferred. The day features on-site interviews with potential opportunities across the Lowe Boats team, with PPE provided and a focus on teamwork

• Standing, bending and twisting for a 10-hour shift is required.

Responsibilities

• Position parts according to blueprints or assembly knowledge.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets, welds or fasteners.
• Remove excess material with hand files and shears to fit parts.
• Operate drill presses, punch presses, air tools, riveting machines, plasma cutters.
• Install seats, bases, pedestals, cables and controls; follow quality procedures.

See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Position Overview: As part of the talented Lowe Boats team as an Assembler, Welder or Fabricator you will assist in the assembly aluminum boats and / or sub-assemblies, partially or completely, working at bench, or in a boat, or in the shop floor. Essential Functions

• Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, weld or other fasteners.
• Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and shears to produce close fit between parts.
• Operates drill presses, punch presses, air tools, riveting machines, press break, plasma cutters to assist in assembly operation.
• Installs seats, bases, pedestals, consoles, cables, controls, graphics, etc.
• Responsible for following the quality systems procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

May be required to work in a non-air-conditioned area Regularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs. Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors daily. PPE required: Hearing protection, vision protection, safety toe shoes, safety gloves
