Job summary

Brunswick is seeking an Assembler I to join our Boat Group manufacturing team. You will install decking, seating, consoles, fencing on pontoons, and wiring, following SOPs and engineering prints with safety as a priority.

This role requires reading blueprints, using hand and small power tools, and collaborating with a team in a fast-paced environment to meet takt time. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; physical work includes lifting and standing.

Qualifications

  • Must wear designated PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, sleeves, etc.).
  • Flexible to work extended hours to support the business.
  • Experience using basic hand and small power tools including drill, saws, sanders, measuring tape, level, etc.
  • Must be able to read a blueprint.
  • Previous manufacturing and/or machinery experience preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate and work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills.

Essential Functions
  • Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times, and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately
  • Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Engineering Prints
  • Visually inspect and/or audit units for quality.
  • Discuss quality issues with lead or supervisor to resolve problems.
  • Use a variety of electric and pneumatic hand tools

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing and lifting heavy objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds. The employee is constantly walking, pushing/pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs. The employee is occasionally squatting, kneeling, and using fine hand movements such as tightening screws, bolts, and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust.

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
