Job summary

NextDeavor in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Assembler/Tester to assemble and test moderately complex mechanical products onsite on 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm. You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, record test results, perform rework, and support lean initiatives while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Two or more years of industry-related assembly/test experience in manufacturing are required.

• 2+ years assembly/test experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient reading blueprints and test specifications.
• Ability to perform basic math and document results.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical products using hand and power tools.
• Record test results, identify malfunctions, and perform rework as needed.
• Interpret blueprints and routing for proper assembly and test sequences.
• Produce and inspect assemblies to meet specs and quality standards.

You will work closely with production leads, quality inspectors, and engineering to resolve issues and support lean initiatives. This is an onsite role on 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm) in the US/Eastern timezone.### Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team- Perform assembly and test functions using hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, and test equipment- Record test results and identify malfunctions; perform rework as instructed- Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, and test specifications- Produce and inspect assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications- Perform touch-up or full surface painting and part cleaning as required- Participate in lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs- Maintain a FOD-free work area and ensure equipment calibration per schedule- May assist in training less experienced team members### Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role- Two or more years of industry-related assembly/test experience in a manufacturing environment- Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications- Ability to perform basic math, use standard business software, and complete required documentation- Strong mechanical reasoning and proficiency with hand and power tools- Experience with mechanical/electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, transducers) and flow measurement devices- Ability to apply product and process knowledge and implement lean initiatives- Steel-toed shoes required### Here's What Else Might Help You Out- Soldering certification (may be required per customer requirements)### Pay Range$15.20 - $19.00/hour### Ready to Make Your Mark?This role may fill quickly.
