Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Florida is seeking skilled technicians to join the production team. You will build and assemble electronic and mechanical components from diagrams, using hand tools and power tools, and read blueprints to ensure accurate wiring and assembly.

You will perform continuity checks, contribute to quality inspections, and, when needed, disassemble and rework prototype assemblies under test conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in cable assembly, wire harness building, or related electronics manufacturing (or equivalent training).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wire lists, and assembly instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools (crimpers, strippers, soldering iron, cutters).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a production environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand/wrist motions.

THE WORK

• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

WHO YOU ARE

You possess manufacturing knowledge, are adept at using hand tools, can proficiently read technical drawings to ensure an accurate and efficient assembly processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRED SKILLS

• Proficiency with hand tools – Experience using wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, and soldering irons to accurately terminate and assemble cables.
• Ability to read technical drawings – Comfortable interpreting blueprints, wire lists, and work instructions to correctly build cable assemblies.
• Strong attention to detail – Ability to consistently produce clean, accurate workmanship with correct wire routing, terminations, and labeling.

PAY INFORMATION

Full-Time Salary Range: $35600.00 - $66000.00

ANNUAL SHORT-TERM AND/OR LONG-TERM INCENTIVE COMPENSATION PROGRAMS

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

PAY EARNINGS FOR (WASHINGTON STATE APPLICANTS ONLY) NON-REPRESENTED FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES

• Accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
• Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
