Responsibilities:

• Build electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies for lasers


• Build optical and fiber assemblies


• Reading blueprints or schematics


• Test and measurement


• Troubleshooting


• Repair

Requirements

• Assemble and align free-space optical components including lenses, mirrors and other optical elements.


• Perform optical system integration and troubleshooting ensuring all components meet specifications and performance standards.


• Use precision tools and equipment such as microscopes and optical mounts to assemble and test laser head.


• Conduct tests on finished assemblies to ensure functionality, optical performance and alignment.


• Document assembly processes, test results and any issues encountered during assembly.


• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve issues and improve assembly procedures.


• Follow company standards for safety and quality control throughout the assembly process.


• Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job
