Job summary

A leading sports facility in Marlborough, MA is seeking maintenance technicians for general and preventative upkeep. The role requires skills in HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Ideal candidates will be high school graduates with relevant experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work hours will be 40 per week, including weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance activities preferred.
• Ability to lift and handle items up to 50 pounds.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Maintain rink fixtures including boards and benches.

Job description

The New England Sports Center, an eight (8) rink ice skating facility in Marlboro, MA, has openings for maintenance technicians to perform general and preventative rink and building maintenance.



Activities:

• General building maintenance


• Light carpentry and mechanical plumbing


• General preventative maintenance


• HVAC preventative maintenance


• Ammonia and Refrigeration maintenance


• Rink fixtures maintenance and repair (i.e., boards, team benches, nets, glass replacement)

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent with Technical School training preferred


• Previous experience in the activity areas listed above


• Ability to operate hand and power tools in a safe manor


• Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds


• Fluent in the English language


• Prior HVAC, Ammonia and Refrigeration experience preferred


• Prior experience in rink maintenance is a plus

The individuals would work a five-day, 40-hour week, with one of the days being on the weekend.
