Job summary

HEPCO Inc is seeking an experienced Assembler to perform complex assembly, modification, and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and systems in our facility in New York.

The role requires building and wiring harnesses, inspecting work to IPC-610/620 standards, and performing soldering for through-hole and surface-mount components while following detailed work plans and process sheets. Ability to obtain necessary certifications is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of electronic assembly experience.
• High school or trade school education (2+ years).
• Ability to obtain required certifications in assembly and soldering.
• Ability to follow process sheets and work plans.
• Proficiency with hand tools and basic testing.
• Eligibility to obtain a security clearance if required later.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and rework electronic and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and systems.
• Install mechanical devices, hardware, and wire harnesses using soldering and point-to-point wiring techniques.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Assembler for our client to perform complex assembly, modification, and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and systems.

• Install mechanical devices, hardware, and wire harnesses using soldering and point-to-point wiring techniques.
• Assemble, disassemble, and modify production subassemblies according to work plans and process sheets.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to IPC-610/620 standards.
• Perform through-hole hand soldering and surface-mount solder rework.
• Use hand tools and perform basic testing.
• Support additional assembly tasks and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Three to four years of electronic assembly experience.
• At least two years of high school or trade school education.
• Ability to obtain required certifications in assembly and soldering techniques according to company and customer standards.
• Ability to follow process sheets and work plans.
• Proficiency with hand tools and basic testing.
• Eligibility to obtain a security clearance if required at a later date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four to eight years of electronic and mechanical assembly experience.
• Strong soldering skills and mechanical aptitude.

Pay: Up to $24.50 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
