Job summary

Valmet is seeking an assembler to join our production team in a fast-paced facility. The role focuses on assembling and testing valves in line with production and quality guidelines, including VQP procedures and strict material control.

You will pull and stage parts, record inventory transactions, and ensure accurate labeling and packaging for shipping. The position requires night shift availability and familiarity with ISO 9001 processes in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of assembly or related production experience.
• Ability to work night shift in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality processes and testing procedures.
• Capable of reading blueprints and identifying part numbers accurately.
• Proficient with pneumatic and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble valves following Valvtechnologies guidelines and QA standards.
• Test valves per production and quality control procedures (VQP 011).
• Pull parts for orders and maintain organized work area.
• Stock inbound freight and update inventory via barcode systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure misloads are avoided.
• Clean and organize department; follow safety practices.

Position Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to assemble and test valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

Assemble valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines, VQP 011 Test valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines, VQP 010 Strict technical specification and application/customer requirement compliance during production Pull parts for purchasing, sales, production, inventory orders Maintain a clean and organized working environment Pull sales order jobs, as well as I-jobs for vendor Confirm that the materials pulled completely match sales order document station provided by shop file, including parts identification and quantity of parts to be shipped Before shipment goes to Shop or Shipping Clerk, have Shop Lead or HP Production Manager check order for accuracy, this will eventually become the responsibility of this position) Write sales order number, job number on parts if they are going out to vendor. If order is going to Production, write sales order on pallet or bin After order is pulled, clock out order documentation via barcode Call Shipping Department or Low or High-Pressure shop when order is pulled. If order is going to Shop, write staging location on file and give file to department manager Stock inbound freight and replenish Warehouse locations After locating and stocking parts, clock inventory into system through M2M via barcode. Ensure quantity input in the system is 100% correct Replenish pulling location from overstock locations on a daily basis as needed Housekeeping and safety check of equipment Cleaning of department to be done on a daily basis and back storage yard to be done as needed May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor
