Job summary

ValvTechnologies, LLC seeks an assembler/test technician to build and verify valves following established production and quality control guidelines. You will perform assembly, testing, and strict conformance to technical specifications and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include pulling parts, stocking locations, logging inventory via barcode, coordinating with shipping, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while meeting multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in assembly or relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble valves in accordance with Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines, VQP 011
• Test valves in accordance with VQP 010
• Ensure strict technical specification and customer requirement compliance during production
• Pull parts for purchasing, sales, production, inventory orders
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment
• Pull sales order jobs, and I-jobs for vendor
• Match materials pulled to the sales order documentation including parts and quantity
• Coordinate order accuracy checks with Shop Lead or Production Manager
• Label parts with sales order/job numbers for vendors or production
• Record order documentation via barcode after pulling
• Coordinate with Shipping when orders are pulled and indicate staging location
• Stock inbound freight and replenish warehouse locations
• Enter inventory details into M2M via barcode with 100% accuracy
• Replenish pulling locations from overstock daily
• Perform housekeeping and safety checks of equipment
• Clean the department and back storage yard regularly
• May perform other work-related tasks as directed by supervisor

Job description

The primary purpose of this position is to assemble and test valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines, VQP 011
• Test valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines, VQP 010
• Strict technical specification and application/customer requirement compliance during production
• Pull parts for purchasing, sales, production, inventory orders
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment
• Pull sales order jobs, as well as I-jobs for vendor
• Confirm that the materials pulled completely match sales order document station provided by shop file, including parts identification and quantity of parts to be shipped
• Before shipment goes to Shop or Shipping Clerk, have Shop Lead or HP Production Manager check order for accuracy, this will eventually become the responsibility of this position)
• Write sales order number, job number on parts if they are going out to vendor. If order is going to Production, write sales order on pallet or bin
• After order is pulled, clock out order documentation via barcode
• Call Shipping Department or Low or High-Pressure shop when order is pulled. If order is going to Shop, write staging location on file and give file to department manager
• Stock inbound freight and replenish Warehouse locations
• After locating and stocking parts, clock inventory into system through M2M via barcode. Ensure quantity input in the system is 100% correct
• Replenish pulling location from overstock locations on a daily basis as needed
• Housekeeping and safety check of equipment
• Cleaning of department to be done on a daily basis and back storage yard to be done as needed
• May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor

Core Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months experience as in assembly or relevant work experience
• Must be able to work night shift

Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality processes
• Must be able to use pneumatic tools and hand tools
• Prefer experience with actuators and automated valves
• Must a mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to read blue prints, part numbers on orders and interpret instructionsAbility to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding.
• Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
• Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.
