Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking an assembler in Sterling, IL to build product parts following production guidelines and perform basic quality checks.

Two shifts are available: 1st shift 6:30 AM–2:30 PM and 2nd shift 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Pay ranges from $16.44 to $17.01 per hour, with full-time hours and emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble basic product parts according to production guidelines and specifications
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units and components
  • Perform spot checks on assembled parts to ensure quality standards are met
  • Report any issues with quality, equipment, or materials to the supervisor
  • Maintain an organized work area and ensure tools are properly stored
  • Follow established manufacturing procedures to complete assembly tasks
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

The assembler assembles product parts following production guidelines, conducting quality checks and reporting any issues with quality, equipment or materials.


Job Details


  • Position Type: Full-time

  • Work Location: Sterling, IL

  • Shift:

    • 1st Shift - 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday

    • 2nd Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday



  • Pay Range: $16.44-$17.01/hr


Key Responsibilities


  • Assemble basic product parts according to production guidelines and specifications

  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units and components

  • Perform spot checks on assembled parts to ensure quality standards are met

  • Report any issues with quality, equipment, or materials to the supervisor

  • Maintain an organized work area and ensure tools are properly stored

  • Follow established manufacturing procedures to complete assembly tasks

  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Preferred)

Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds repeatedly

  • Required to stand for extended periods

  • Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds

  • Frequent bending and stooping required

  • Must have the dexterity to handle small objects

  • Must be able to work in noisy environments.
