Position: Assembler/Machine Operator – Full-time employment!

Pay: $17+ depending on position. Opportunity for overtime as well!

Shifts:

• 2nd shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• 3rd shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Training: Training will take place on 1st Shift for a minimum of 2 weeks.

What you will do:

• Move batteries through and out of formation process including testing, acid filling, and make-up of lifts for high-rise boosting.
• Operate level selector power belt on exit conveyor to high-rise station for storage table being unloaded.
• Disconnect forming cables, remove jumpers, and push batteries out of conveyor table.
• Remove card for rectifier, record information, and place on one battery being pushed out.
• Obtain lubrication pump tank and spray gun to spray lubrication on feed conveyor, storage table, and exit conveyor.
• Remove in-process vent and top off batteries with acid using an immersion top-off machine.
• Move batteries into and out of machines by hand, aligning remaining batteries in cradle prior to immersion.
• Get process or finish vent caps from temporary storage and assemble correct caps on all batteries.
• Perform OCV check on 100% of batteries before pile high-rise.
• Tag and remove defective batteries from production.
• Position plywood base and wooden uprights to support batteries stacked ten high.
• Connect batteries in series using wire jumpers, ensuring good contact and testing circuits.
• Keep records of production and rejects.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform other duties as needed to meet production goals.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working in hot environments.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
