Job summary

Hayward Holdings Inc. seeks a Production Coordinator to organize daily manufacturing activities, resolve bottlenecks, and support the production plan to meet customer requirements.

You will assist the Production Supervisor, optimize throughput, and help drive safety and efficiency metrics across the plant. Strong ERP and Lean knowledge, plus Mapics experience, are valued.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment with project leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience with ERP and inventory management systems (Mapics a plus).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of lean practices beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, output and on-time delivery targets.
  • Identify material/capacity constraints and resolve issues, including chasing material shortages and expediting as needed.
  • Ensure ERP transactions reflect material movements and support cycle count accuracy.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.Position Overview: Responsible for coordination, prioritizing and enabling daily production activities. Manage daily/weekly output based on material/capacity availability, and proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks. Assist Production Supervisor in ensuring execution of production plan to meet customer requirements. Assist with meeting incentive metrics goals (safety, on-time delivery, efficiency, and productivity).Major Tasks and Responsibilities:Coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, output and on-time delivery targetsIdentify material/capacity constraints and resolve issues, including chasing material shortages, expediting and prioritizing functions (receiving, inspection, mfg. engineering, etc.) and escalating issuesEnsure that safe work practices are in use at all timesEnsure that ERP transactions are completed to reflect physical material movementAchieve cycle count accuracy goalsEnsure production activities are completed in accordance with design and process documentationLead daily production meetings and assist with creating and publishing daily/weekly/monthly metricsAssist with training and coaching of production workforceUse data and continuous improvement tools to resolve internal and external corrective actions and drive process improvementQualifications:Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Inventory Management software (Mapics experience a plus)Good analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of lean practices and continuous improvement toolsDemonstrate the ability to lead by example and to provide guidance and mentoring to peers and to promote team workEducation and Experience:High school diploma/GED3 – 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required with demonstrated project leadership responsibilitiesPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, stand and walk. The employee will frequently be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
